You want something rated for 1800 or so in my opinion, as thats usually pretty easy to run on this platform and the price is reasonable in that range. Something like this is a good price and would suit you fine, it also has decent memory timings:
$40 for a pair of 2x4GB 1866 sticks

You would pay $10 more at least for sticks rated 2133, and the timings are looser (they are basically the same sticks you are buying for 1866, with looser timings). You could pay MUCH more than that, for essentially the same thing, or for sticks that look cool to you, but none of the other options would be worth the money.

I would only upgrade however if you are increasing the ram capacity, as a ram frequency upgrade is unlikely to make a difference you can feel (not worth your money).

Since memory performance is limited by memory controller then best is something 1866-2133 on tight timings.
Best from new kits are Crucial Elite/Tactical/Tactical Tracer 1600 8-8-8 1.35/1.50V or 1866 9-9-9 1.50V just because you can set them to 1600 7-7-7 1.50-1.60V or 1866 8-8-8 1.50-1.60V and with some luck also 2133 9-9-9 1.50-1.65V ( 2133 is not always stable, depends from IC which is a bit mixed in these kits ). These kits are in 4GB or 8GB sticks.
From older kits generally anything 2000/2133/2200/2400 on 2GB sticks like RipjawsX or DominatorGT.
There is no best brand for memory in this case. All depends from luck to IC.

As I said memory controler is limiting memory bandwidth so if you want to make some higher memory transfers then start from raising CPU-NB frequency that will give you more than buying expensive memory.
Here you have some tests on RipjawsX 2133 / PSC on FX8120.

All above is more for benching. If you want memory for gaming then grab any cheaper kit ( like IMOG linked ) and play some with CPU-NB clock what will also give good results. It's not worth to pay 2x more for memory which will give you 1% higher performance.
