Hey, I was wondering where does one buy some good thermal pads for replacing the stock ones that go on graphics card memory and whatnot.

Thought I'd ask because I buy used video cards now and then, and usually take them apart to replace the thermal compound on the GPU and when I do this the thermal pads on the memory chips and whatever else are usually trashed and in need of replacement because they get ripped apart when I remove the heat sink and fan assembly from the PCB. Up to now I've had no way to replace these because I don't know where to buy good replacement thermal pads and I've just been reusing the stock white junk thermal pads that came on the cards originally.

I'm assuming that there are better aftermarket replacements out there that would help the components to be cooled better.

ED told you.

Similar Threads, if you had given it a read, you'd know that there's a brand called Sekisui that makes awesome thermal adhesive.

eBay.

He didn't tell me much of anything.

All he said was look at the similar threads. Just redirecting me to search somewhere else doesn't help to answer my question at all.

And I looked through all of the ones it is showing at the bottom of my screen long before you posted here, none of them mentioned this. One of them mentioned one or two stores, but no particular brands that were good. And there were mention of some other stores, but those posts were from so long ago those websites (and probably the companies as well) don't even exist anymore.

Also, hey, next time be polite and ask me if I've read them. Just accusing me of not reading them at all and coming off confrontational like that doesn't help answer my question.

Also, I don't want a thermal adhesive at all, I want a thermal pad and/or thermal tape that doesn't stick too much so that I can get the cards apart again if necessary.

On another note, that stuff newegg sells from StarTech is total crap and not useable for video card memory chips.
