Why is folding not working?

I have made no changes to these machines.

Looks like a problem with you connection to the server that allocattes WU's.
Try restarting the client, restart the OS, check if F@h is allowed trough the firewall.
I had some "no news WU's from a server, check i-net connection, will retry in few mins" - it wasn't a big problem, and was solved with restarting the client or reconnecting the internet.
If this not helping, I don't know whats wrong, ask some experts here!

Yeah Mark, that could be Stanfords problem. After a few restarts you might hit a different server.

You are not alone with this issue. If all else fails do the old remove the work folder, unitinfo.txt, etc. kludge in order to get you assigned to a different server.

Yes, as Macaholic said, remove the work folder, unitinfo.txt, machinedependent.dat, queue.dat - all these from the Folding folder.
Then restart the client and check if the problem is solved.

I completely removed the clients on the 920 and reinstalled them-no good.
I then installed V7 client - it will not run at all...When I run the FAHControl

I'm going out on a limb here Mark. Are you starting it from Programs? Or the downloaded exe that installs in programs? A DOS command window isn't appearing is it? Is it configured to auto start? Otherwise it will just sit there.

Have you gotten at least to the point where you entered your identity(name, Team # 32)?

You are welcome. Thought it sounded familiar. I ran into the same message when I pulled my K9A2s out of the closet and upgraded them with 590s. I had to install quite a few updates to those old XP installs.

Coures I have also vowed not to use Win 8...So the sooner we get Win 9 the better. If I could quit gaming I could just use Linux and OSX.

How do I monitor V7 with HFM...can't figure it out
V7 is on another computer on my home network.

In HFM you'll add a v7 client. Give it a name leave the port 36330, and for address you can put in 192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255. That will cover all the posible address's the v7 client can have. No password needed.

On the rig with the v7 client go to the command box, in the start menu and type ipconfig . Use the Ipv4 address (192.168 *.*) and add(Click the "Add" button at the bottom) it to the client in the left panel. There will already be a local client there.
