https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/w...-protects-you-from-unwanted-applications.html - Are we really doing this again ? M$ hasn't learned anything from the last fiasco that was uninstalling legit paid programs ?

"Microsoft announced in a blog post that Windows 10 now includes a capability that may automatically ban undesirable applications. It applies to both installed and downloaded applications." - "You can find it by going to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > App & Browser Manager > Reputation Protection Settings . In that location is a feature called " Potentially unwanted app blocker", with an on button below it and two automatically checked boxes for blocking apps and downloads."

Where the crap are sites pulling this from and claiming it is news? Every site has the same text and no link to the referenced "blog post". The guru3d article even says "May 2020" in the text. The actual Windows blog mentions this from the date referred to on the guru3d article - May 2020. This is not news, it is olds.

I have disabled Windows updates, and now I can't resume it. I did that because Windows didn't let me download COD.

I'm not sure why anything having to do with windows updates would prevent you from being able to download CoD. If you don't have the May 2021 update for Windows 10 yet, you might try updating to that manually and see if the problem persists afterward. You can update manually using the update assistant: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=799445
