Recently i took an old pc and made a file server on it.. I have 5 - 2 TB hatchi Enterprise drives in raid 5. total storage 8TB..

I was using handbrake but i keept having trouble with it ripping all the way through. So i got a legit copy of WinX Dvd ripper platinum an Im not sure if im using the right setting or what.. Ive been ripping my dvds at mp4's in the HQ version. when i rip a movie it turns out pretty good, however when i rip a tv series some times it turns out a little grainy.

using the following settings:
Video Codec : mpeg4
Frame Rate: Keep Origin
Resolution: Keep Origin
Bit Rate: 2800
Aspect Ratio: Keep Origin

audio codec: aac
channel: 6
sample rate: 44100
Bit Rate: 128

anyways any suggestions would be nice. Fairly new to this program.

You need a higher bit rate setting, I think for encoding TV captures. 9000?
