A while back I remember seeing a tool to convert WMP playlists to an excel file so you can edit them. Now I know you can edit them via word pad and all, but it displayed it so you can sort by album, artist, etc. which allows for easier editing. I have an old playlist that has grown over the months, and needs to be weedy down. Anyone know how?

Have you tried the wmp9export tool/script from Virroaudio.net?

A script for exporting the contents of the WMP9 Media Library to a text file of tab separated values. This can then be loaded into Excel, Access or another tool and manipulated for generation of reports, etc. It is useful if you want to get info out of the WMP9 Media Library to manage/report on elsewhere. Trivial to tweak to export to another format (e.g. HTML, XML).
The scripts can be downloaded from here...
