X5675 - 4.5ghz possible with msi gd65...what cooling?

I just bought a cheap msi x58a gd65 motherboard ..it's has an i7 950 in it..
Can this board hit 4.5ghz with x5675.??
And what cooler will I have to use ...

Moved to your own thread.

You will need some decent cooling (high end air or 2x120mm clc) to reach that assuming the cpu and board let you.
 
well i bought a AIO watercooling setup from CM, got a X5660 to 4ghz on all cores. temps were higher then i liked but it was solid, lowered the clocks for better temps and sold the rig to a friend. im sure with a good air cooler or better watercooling you might be able too. it does come down to the silicon lottery and amb. temps where your at, load temps are something you need to watch for sure.
