ya its the silver of bitcoins (bitcoins being gold)
when its done it should make $200+ month EDIT I mean $600+

Why the riser ?
And how 10gb on an X58 ? Its a 3 chanel DDR3 board, should be divisible by 3.

Riser for the extra 2 slots for GPUz to mine!
going to have 5 gpus
also
2 4gb sticks and 1 2gb stick = 10gb

unmateched is not the best idea too but i dont think its revelant in that purpose.

I may pull it down to 8gb to save Watts and underclock the CPU and disable HT

The ram performance is less important than the total ram capacity when mining LTC. And the reason for the risers is so that a) you can fit more cards on the board, and b) it keeps the cards cooler. This was my mining rig for BTC:

With that setup, I was able to put 5 cards on a 2 x16 bit motherboard, AND the cards had half an inch of air in between each other as opposed to no space at all. Kept all my cards under 65*C.

I just hope you guyz dont pay for electricity ;) Even here in Quebec, we pay a very low price and it's not worth it to mine unles BTC or LTC price go up quite a bit.

my electricity would be $60 a month my profit (after electricity) is $610
so I make $670 LTC a month how do you lose money?

Hope your calculation is right .... 5 7970/50 at 100% 24/7 is a HUGE amount of electricity. ( and heat )

well after I get my 3x 7950/70 I would make 2600Kh/s
and I have a 5870 and 7970 mining BTC (it used by ppl a lot so cant mining LTC)
and when im at work my 7970 mining LTC so add 600kh/s

yep I checked my math

I see no loss in mining on the PCIe x1 slot if that's what your asking
