the 1700's everyone is talking about 1 are they xp's or not 2 do you have to unlock them like I had to do with my 2200.

Yes, they are XP1700's.... usually purchased at ExcaliberPC because they sort the good steppings from the not-so-good.
Not sure about your board...I had one on my NF7-S and ALL multipliers are unlocked as well as with my XP2100+

this 2200 I unlocked and god I hope I never have to do that again I'm still a little cross eyed from doing it anyhow unloacked and all it wont pass 2000

cant go much past that I got it up to 2088 for about 5mim then instant reboot max I think it would run ok at is 2010
