ONE are you running your system in SYNC?

it's actually quite easy to get high fsbs when running async... but i think ONE is running in SYNC....

I get 3145/xxxx with TwinMos Pc3200 (11-2-2-2.0) on my NF7 (rev 1.1) @ 210 FSB Single Channel!
That's why I'm saying his bandwith results aren't that impressive!

his timings for that speed is why sisoft shows those results.
2 X 256 MB GIEL DDR 500 PC4000 timings ; 2.5, 5, 5, 9 , vcore1.85V

try those timings on your rig, Run sisoft again, and see how your scores drop dramitically.
the fact that he's got his rig stable enough on 250FSB is a milestone to begin with and should give us incentives to try our settings to get there as well.

Easy or not, I can get 208 FSB with my PC2100 when Memory Frequency is set to "Auto".
Only 152 FSB with when it's at 100%.

auto and 100% are totally different, nice OC by the way. I am going to try some insane front side bus next week. I will keep you guys posted

Very Nice Sir!

I'll fire up my rig and see how she goes with your settings. Currently I have PC3700 TWINX and with a FSB of 230 x 10.0 She runds good. So I'll drop my multi and increase my volts.... BRB Actually make that BRB in a bit (gf is bangn on my door! )

Why it isnt impressive:
at 228 fsb i get 3550/3330 memory bandwidth. he is either running one stick, 2 sticks in async or 2 stick in sync with stupid timings such as 11-6-6-3.

also, with the abit, if you set the multi lower than 9.5 the fsb is easier to get. impressive fsb scores are using the 10 multi, getting 250fsb at "decent" timings and in sync. these yield bandwidth scores of 3800/3500 which is slightly more impressive.

its a nice figure to reach, but whats the point in bragging about 250fsb if you would have a "faster" machine if you lower the fsb, higher the multi and then use tighter timings/in sync.

just doesnt make sense?

(oh quick edit....cpu interface enabled or disabled? makes a huge impact on memory bandwidth and having it disabled and running a higher fsb is again a "cheat" - as running with it off and a higher fsb makes ur machine slower than running with it on and a much lower fsb).

i think people have been infected with the "fsb virus" which was giving out by the intel people. they can clock their fsb's up oohhh so high and have timings that are "hmmm ok" and their performance take much of a hit - however the amd's really do need their low/tight timings. im currently at 230 @ 11-2-2-2 (cpu interface on), ive tested my memory and ive managed stable with 245 @ 11-3-3-2.5 with cpu interface off and the machine was slower, lower marks in all of my tests and it just generally wasnt as good.

250fsb is nice and its always good to know that your mobo can reach the magic figure, but the famous words - "quality not quantity", come to mind :)

ONE, check to see if you are running sync, Coz there is a good chance that if you are useing a BIOS high than D1.1L you are async.

eg. I can get my CPU to run 9x222mhz and SANDRA reports "2x222mhz (DDR)" but my memorey freqs at POST are only about 166ish. Before I flashed from D1.1L to D1.2L I could run at 10x196 sync D/C and S/C.

Check at your POST screen what your memory freqs are to see if you are in sync and not asysc.

Soltek have released D1.5L.

thanks :)

its just that lots of people have been getting 250 (although still not me...boooo :p) but its all with things enabled that actually hamper performance.

the few guys that have got their machines to high clocks, with high fsb, tight timings and interface enabled...

boy do their machines fly. i am the envious!

DDR 500 ??? Think I have to change my RAM ........;) Please post full specs of your DDR 500.

Yes, Soltek is a rocket, it is actually as good if not better than NF7-S and the funny thing is that many people do not know that.

No.........my memory at post says 500Mhz and Sandra reports 502 I don't have to go look because I have already seen it post @ 500Mhz more times than the number of characters in your reply!!!
And as far as the Bios goes I decided not to monkey with it because my system is running great!
