There are four computers what connect to the internet, and we run i think cat5 Ethernet leads. It has to be wired!!

For the routers, find something that is compatible with a 3rd party firmware, like dd-wrt or tomato. Those will completely rock anything in their price bracket. I recommend Buffalo (can they still sell over in the uk?).

You offically lost me.

3rd party firmware solutions like tomatoe and DD-wrt offer a plethora of options vs the hardware you buy initally.

i used dd-wrt i loved it the big feature i liked is i was able to reboot the router via ssh when i wasnt around the web interface. for some reason, my router kept dropping some ports was a heat or stability related issue i think
