So am I... but if those specs were to be confirmed... Jesus christ.

i also notice the ones that cannot believe the info about amd own c2d :)
but back on topic....
looks to be like a kick butt card when it comes out , it shall for sure be top dog unless ati gets something big out.

Wow, if that GTS is only 400, I'll do it. I was going to drop my money on another 8800gts...but dang that is an awesome price!!

I remember it was supposed to be a GTX and a dual-board GX2 version (~$549 GTX, ~$599 GX2), guess things have changed over the past few months.

btw carb0n I like your avatar

Hehe, thanks.

I hadn't seen the other G92 threads, so I figured I'd post this one. Oh well.
Amazing how fast technology is processing, I mean, I was just considering getting a 8800GTS (maybe even SLI, but where could I get that much money? XD ) I start hearing about these 9 series cards...

Those are MSRPs and are the same MSRPs the 8800s came out at I believe. Of course street pricing was above that or at the highest end of the range for a while.

I can understand that, but if the performance is anything better than 1 8800gts, it is TOTALLY worth the 440 (minus what my card sells for) for the upgrade ;)

But I might just wait for it, see how it does and then get a second 8800gts, all depends on how much it costs and how must faster (if any) than 8800gts's in SLi.

I recently read an article in Maximum PC, one of the editors tested next-gen games on Vista with both a 8800GTS and 8800GTX.
I'll list the results.
(specs used to test games were c2d extreme X6800, eVGA 680i SLI board, and 2GB of corsair ram)

I'm not too sure, but I think they tested those games at 1920x1200.

I don't know much about the performance capabilities of the 8 series cards or how graphically taxing those games can be, though.

But by the looks of it, I'd probably end up buying the 9 series cards.
