Hrm, I just realized it's pretty nerdy, but I've been randomly browsing the Computex new product pages. This one got my motor revving, a 4 bay external SATA enclosure with it's own power supply.. http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/product_info.shtml?comno=84980083&showno=2008NSC1015&docno=83217
You can search for cool stuff starting here: http://www.computextaipei.com.tw/presscenter/newproducts.shtml?list_pageno=1
Post up anything interesting
edit: You can buy that enclosure here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000KMD1I6/interactiveda8712-20
It's a bit pricey, still gonna try to build my own
edit 2: Sweet, a stirling engine thingy. Wonder if it's meant to go on a CPU and regenerate power from the heat?? Or if it just uses the processor heat to spin the fans? A passive active cooler? http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/product_info.shtml?comno=12760201&showno=2008NSC1015&docno=68060
Yeah, this looks safe: http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/product_info.shtml?comno=20982732&showno=2008NSC1015&docno=11661 Another road hazard: http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/product_info.shtml?comno=16297838&showno=2008NSC1015&docno=82958
