Thanks all for this thread. I just got my GTX 460 today and this thread helped me switch my GPU client for the new hardware. Thanks again.

Go Team 32!

This is the cpu client.
I've been doing good until now. My rank is 1,460 with just under 40,000 points!

hey geedluck i had that problem with my gtx 470 last week i uninstalled and reinstalled client and it worked like a charm and no i dont beleive there are any bonus points on gpu work units. good luck!

All SMP WUs have Quick Return Bonuses. No GPU WUs have bonuses. Some Classic Clients that have large uploads or large memory requirements have the WU value set at x1.5 to x2 higher than the normal benchmark value. Hard to tell which without folding them, and I'm not.

What CPU are you folding the classic client on?

You'd make a lot more ppd on the smp client, 1500 ppd more. All you have to do is add the -smp flag to the target of your shortcut or to extra parameters.

did i get that right?

maybe not. my ppd is still 267.

It won't download a SMP WU untill it finishes the protomol it's working on. You should also add -verbosity 9 to the extra parameters.

Are you sure? Cause I restarted the client and deleted the work directory and the queue.dat file like i did with the gpu client. I don't know any other way to add extra parameters. Also how do I add two seperate flags? just put a space between them?
and what does the -verbosity 9 flag do?
Thanks for all your help ChasR. Your gonna overtake Earthdog soon as my favorite person on this forum. :santa:
