Hey guys, I've never overclocked before but I want to do so with my i7 920, here are my specs -

Intel Core i7 920 2.66Ghz
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
GTX 570
Corsair 6GB Kit (3x2GB), PC-12800 (1600MHz) DDR3
Western Digital 1TB, Caviar Black, SATA-II, 7200RPM, 32MB Cache
HAF 932
Noctua NH-U12P-SE2 All-In-One CPU Cooler

What should I do and if you had to guess how many Ghz do you think I can get it up to? Thanks.

My 920 C0 only does 3.33 on my MSI X58 Pro. It doesn't have a ton of OC options, but trying for higher never seems to give me good stable results (I'm not that great at OCing either).

Anyway, 2.66->3.33 isn't a bad deal :)

Any other guides on doing this with my specific hardware?

Well do you have a C0 or D0 920? CPU-Z will show stepping.
Doing a search should yeild tons of threads relating to the 920 cpu.

Your setup looks good for great 24/7 clocks though.

Take a good long read at the guide that was linked to above. It's not hardware specific, but it gives you the general idea. Its a great guide for beginners and explains what's what. You could google for "i7 Overclocking guide" and that will yield you some good results as well.
