does the ic7 have the same vtt problems that the ic7-max3 does if you volt mod it to go over 2.8vdimm?

Yes. There is a seperate vmod for the vtt. I recommend reading the thread in Xtremesystem.org's modding section. It's about 5 pages spanning months about the vmod.

People who performed the vmod and not the vtt mod still say there's no instability, only postive performance results.
