So now that hyperthreading 3.06 chips are out, is it safe to say the older p4 chips we have will drop in price?? im looking to get a 2.2 and get close to 3ghz if i can pick one up cheap in like a month or two

Yep, the 2.8 got dropped in price by over 20% with the release of the 3.06 today, and the rest of the chips dropped about 10-15% I think....

the lower speed intels are going to stay about the same, and the 2.4 is now the same price on the street as the 2.2
