I'm leaning towards the P2350/T240 because I own the 206BW and like it. However I don't need any input aside from DVI, so the T240 wouldn't be fully utilized, as it has other inputs.

I'm aware these are TN panels, and I'd be more than glad to buy a better quality panel if the price was below $300, and made for PC gaming, mainly FPS. I don't have a preference when it comes to 16:9 or 16:10, however if I'm getting a 24 inch, I'd prefer it to be 16:10.

*Prices in CAN*

Yeah I ended up trying out the P2350, it definitely has good response time, virtually no ghosting, but compared to the 2333HD that i also have, the look is identical, and the difference in dynamic contrast is not noticeable at all. I found that i can live with 5ms as opposed to 2ms, so I'm going to return the P2350 and look at the T240 next, I'd like to see if 24in, 16:10, is too big or just right.

Wait. You tried out the P2350 and:
  • The response time was good, there was no gosting
  • It looked identical to the 2333HD that you had, contrast was the same
  • And you can live with 5ms as opposed to 2ms
Why did you return it, if you thought everything about it was great? Explain yourself! :)

I can't settle with it until I've tried a 24 inch, 16:10. It's very subtle, but I can almost imagine the missing top part of the screen, so I'd like to try the T240.

Don't get me wrong though, I do notice the difference in ghosting, but that is the only difference between the 2333HD and the P2350, and hard to justify buying it just for that. Plus 5ms is OK, it's not like it really effects my performance in fps, but i do notice it.

In your case if the size of the screen is fine, the P2350 does everything right, response is awesome, looks great, stylish menu buttons, it's really good for the price. I didn't return it yet, I'm going to compare the P2350 and the T240 side by side first. I'm thinking the the T240 might just be too big for an fps (competitively wise), and that the response may not be good enough.

EDIT:

I decided to stick with the P2350, reasons why:
  • I need speed, the difference between 5ms and 2ms is very apparent to me now after using both for a few days
  • 23 inch is a nice size, allows me to play competitively without being too large or too small
  • Less pixels = more room for quality in games, even if it's not a significant amount
  • Gaming is it's main purpose, and all above point to it being suitable for this

I tried to notice a problem with the panel because it's TN, and i keep reading how people wouldn't use TN even if they were given it for free, and honestly, I'm glad to be ignorant.
