I have everything (parts in sig) plugged into the secondary ide slots with the lite-on as a slave of the hd. Everything works fine. I would like to connect the hd to a raid slot, and have both the cds as masters on the blue ide ports. When I try to do this, the raid bootup recognizes the hd, but windows xp freezes during startup (just the logo shows up, does nothing else). I have raid enabled on the motherboard, and have set the hard drive in the raid bios. I have even tried running with just the hard drive plugged into raid, and no cd's plugged in just in case one of them was causing problems. I did install the files for the raid, and in the device manager it shows them working fine. What am I doing wrong?

Both of the sites listed above are excellent reads...the section of the KK266/R FAQ that deals with running a single drive on a RAID controller should also apply to the XP-333 series board, if I'm not mistaken.
