I think all that you really can do is startup your computer with only the bare minimun of programs running. I have never heard of a way to clear memory besides restarting the PC.
doesnt give you a benefit. The new stuff gets loaded into ram and then the old stuff gets moved to the swap file. Also those things may give you a 1 nanosecond speed up (which you wont notice...) So dont bother with those programs just bench after a startup
