The Athlon XP 2100+ with Thoroughbred B core or the 2800+ with the Barton core?

Are the Bartons clock-locked?

Thanks!

the AIUHB 2100's get 2.2 - 2.3 on air. 2800's aren't popular in this crowd so i can't say much for them. being Tbred B's i'd imagine they'd fetch around the same as the 2100 I've mentioned.

the newer bartons are being clock locked. there's a thread on this in the AMD cpu section linked above. i believe that will tell you what week they started clock locking the bartons.

multiplier locked, you can change the clock speed by the fsb. I would say that the tbred b would be much easier to overclock because of the freely changeable multiplier.
