On Saturday, XPG announced it had successfully overclocked one of its DDR5-4800 MHz memory kits to an astonishing 8,118 MT/s. This marks the first DDR5 memory kit to be overclocked to such a high speed and shows XPG's dedication to the overclocking community. The XPG ram used to accomplish this great feat featured SK Hynix DRAM modules with the CAS# Latency loosened to 50 clocks. That's only 8 clocks lower than one of its JEDEC specifications.
