I forgot that I was to resume the weekly stats updates this weekend. I was trying to test out the mosix clustering software and that took down the computer that has all of my stuff on it - front page, excel, the files etc. I'll try to get them done this evening.

Would be sweet if the mosix stuff could help speed up w/u times legally. :)

Yeah, I was very dissapointed when after spending a week
researching and gathering parts for a 5 machine (all AthalonXP
1Gig or better) Linux Cluster that it was a worthless endevor.

I was told most enthusiastically by the Linux guru's "Sure you
can run setup a LINUX cluster just for running SETI!!! You just
need to run a copy of the SETI CLI on *each machine*!!!"

When I pointed out this defeats the purpose of a Linux cluster,
I was digitally bludgeoned and banashed.

So I got a second oppinion.

It doesn't hurt so much the second time around.....

Take a look at THIS specifically the last few lines. I believe that with this setup, the nodes or x terminals boot over the network. So how could they run a client?
