A7V8X: does temp. autoshut down work?

I'd like some reassurance that if my water pump fails, things might still be ok. And no, I do not want to go try right now.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced it with this motherboard yet.

I was wondering same thing... but I dont have the guts to test it. Wonder if any reviewer has tested it.

I don't know about my A7N8X, but it worked perfectly on my A7V333 KT333, so I would asume since it is the same technology that it would work quite well

it does. mine auto shutdown on 90C. after 2 weeks CPU was dead.

I second the shutdown on the A7V333 i crooked the hsf and it shutdown and saved my xp2000 [VERY NICE!]

but not had the same yet on the A7V8X yet i have.

time will tell.......
