I haven't seen any posts on Hagen powerheads?
Any user experience?

Mine is aprox. 15 years old, I dunno what model it is.... doh
I did the bucket test: 400+ gph. I think mine pushes 50cm of head... ? nearest I could match.

This is my first time.... so be gentle! :)

I tested it in a closed loop: res/pump/res: 100+ deg. f (yikes)
5/8 ID tubing fit right on pump outlet, then back into res. for the loop test

I epoxied a 2" to 1 1/4" pvc pipe to pumps inlet, threaded into
water tite junction box. Put 2 odd size bulkhead fittings into
top of res. between 1/2" and 5/8" methinks. one for return
the other for fill.

Heatercore from Toyoto Corolla 1200 (Denso) 5/8" in/outlets
My buddy tore-off one while pulling through firewall.
Epoxied 1/2" brass barb in it's place.
5/8" pump to 5/8" HC inlet is sweet, no fussing.

2-YL 120mm fans 64cfm-2000rpm-32dba (not powerful but quiet)

Test with: fans/shroud/heatercore: 70 deg. f (matches ambient)
(Pump is the only heatload) I got's no blocks!

Uber-Ghetto :)
Dremeled HC finned size slot into top of case for air extraction.
HC takes the 1st CD slot, 2 middle slots will be used for air-intake Burner will be on the bottom.
Cardboard is used right now, to seal air vent from inside of case.

I want to use 3 blocks in series. Cpu->Gpu->SB (NB too?)
I hope the pump/setup will have enough oomph for this.
DTWW, DD9700, DTNB.

Gonna tear it all apart to mount things properly, and I have 1/2"
Clearflex for final install.

What do ya think?

Water on a SB is not needed, hardly produces any heat (unless you got a strange motherboard, put the block on the NB.

Pointing out some opinions.
That RES is way too big for your case and watercooled setup.
You could have placed the RAD down there.
For the SB if you have an Nforce2 Mboard you could remove the heatsink on the NB and stick it on the SB
For the NB I suggest you get one of these, they have gr8 performance ( http://vantecusa.com/iceberq_copper.html)

That pump seems a little weak for a setup with CPU->GPU but unless you try it out you wouldnt really know. Just my $2 ;)

As for the shroud you did a good job altough I would have prefered a push/pull config :)

Hot, loud and nasty.... NF2.... jacked-up

Actually the res. fits, after I dremelled the bottom drive-case out.
I don't think the rad would have fit down there.
(Mine is taller than the Chevette HC)

The setup was supposed to be in an external box.
After I got this Antec case from my Bro. I gazed, and thought why not try to stuff it all in!

I've got a P3 HS on the NB now, and the NB HS is on the SB /w fan
I've done the variable vdd mod to my 8rda+ @1.9 vdd the SB gets
Stonking Hot! IMHO much hotter than the NB. FSB@200

I hope the pump isn't weak tho, as far as I can tell, it's in line with
most pumps you guys are using.

Bucket test w/2' of 5/8 ID tubing on outlet= over 400 gph and
aprox. 5' head.

Which pump are you using?

I know after the blocks are installed she'll be throttled, but I
believe she's got some balls to start off with.

Which block?

I just noticed your 9500 pro. Which block did you choose?
I'm leaning towards the DangerDen one....not much choices. :(

I bought the Saphire 9500 np. I tested with the softmod,
worked great. Then I conductive inked it.
I removed the shim, then put the retail TBred 1800 HS on it.
It's flashed to boot @ 365core 324mem
I cut-up 8 pieces of HS to fit the BGA's, siliconed egdes and AS3.
I haven't gotten 'round to volt modding the 9500 yet......
Windows see's her as a 9800 using Cat 3.4 heh!

I think she'll be happier with water.

nice block

This is the block I'm using to cool my R9500Pro
As for the pump I have an Eheim1250 :)

That's a very nice block, not store bought, which is a minus for me :(

Is that a Bare aluminium top!!?? If it is... that's mighty bad ju-ju
to me, or is it clear anodised?

Love the design tho, looks better performing than the
DangerDen block.

How much did it cost? if you don't mind me asking.

cheap!

What are you using for the shroud?

Just a $2.50 storage container flipped upside-down with
the lid and rim cut off.

I wanted tupperware type, but the dollar store didn't have any
the right size. This thing worked out nice, the fans are high
enough over the HC for low fan noise and good air-flow.
Plus it's blue! like the case.

The pic just shows the block.
The block is made by Jfetting a forum member.
The top is anodized.

I forgot the price you could ask Jfettig :D
