Hmm, I see. Do you think it would be possible that say, 2 sticks of memory could draw just enough power at speeds of ~180mhz to make a system with a dying psu unstable?
It's possible, thought I would say unlikely. One DIMM usually draws about 8-10W (give or take). Overclocking two DIMMs by 10-20% probably only translates to a couple Watt increase. That shouldn't be enough to affect a PSU much.
