Does it matter which NIC I use on A7N8X Deluxe? I think they have a 3Com and Nvida LAN.

Also, why do they have TWO of them on the mobo??

they dont matter really.. ppl have tested it over and over and havnt found much of a difference in performance.. me im using the nvidia NIC

i too use the nvidia, i disabled the 3com

Just pick one and disable the other. You can also disable the Firewire (IEEE 1394) networking interface under windows XP.

Is there a point for disabling the NIC that you're not using or the Firewire ports if you're not using them?

I can't remember where I read this, but I thought using the nVidia LAN uses the CPU less than the 3COM LAN port. I don't think there's any bandwidth benefit though.
