i have an AMD CPU heatsink i'm in the process of cutting down. here's a pic of it in stock form. http://www.coolermaster.com/products/cpucooler/fcpga/cp5-6j11c.html.
now i have it cut in half and i'm going to trim it a bit so it'll fit on the NB/SB.

would running this passive be better than the OE northbridge cooler from abit?

Do u mean epoxying a stock AMD heatsink to your northbridge to cool it? I am not sure if a full passive stock AMD heatsink would preform. I was thinking of doing thing myself to replace the stock NB cooler. Anybody know if it would work better?

ok i don't why that link doesn't work. here's a link to t he products page.

http://www.coolermaster.com/products/products.html it's CP5-6J11C. i have it cut in half. i'm going to trim it down so the tall fins in the center are going to be on the NB and SB.

It should work fine.

THe first link doesn't work because of the period at the end.

right but do you think it will be an improvement over the original cooler?
