Need help overclocking my Athlon 2800+

I have an ASUS A7N8X mobo w/ 512 MB DDR RAM. I am new to overclocking so any help would be appreciated.

OC is da bomb dude.... however, knowing what you have equipment wise would be helpful in getting you to your desired OC speed. also, checkout the POSTS by HITECHJB1 and ALTEC on OC'ing.... best info you can ever read up on.

2800+ overclock = not good

Dude, I've got a 2800+ Tbred, and it basically sucks for overclocking. Needless to say, i fried it out!!!

I'm going with a 3000 or 3200 400fsb, I hope this one overclocks easier??? Any suggesstions?

I have a 2800 and i could get it to 2.4ghz with vcore @ 1.825 and it ran stable for months, then I bought a 1700 fro 43 buck s and now I run that, but i still have the 2800 as a backup cpu
