Ok, new bios release for the K8TNeo just came out and I downloaded it and read the included readme file. It said do not flash from a floppy so i was like... wtf....

I tried everything I could think of making boot disks and so forth... and nothing is working for me. I am using Win2K so I can't make any boot disks from windows. Every time I try to use another boot disk and try to switch to c drive it says invalid drive so im like.... wtf again...

Do you guys flash your MSI boards from a floppy or how do you do it? Thanks!

thanks! that worked. I was trying to find that bootdisk site so thanks for finding that also :p

Guess I shoulda searched MSI site in the end

How to flash bios with floppy!

Hi

I have use now for some week a beta bios to this board k8t neo!

It is no prob to flash the bios with only a floppy!

You just need one program: Adsfi711.exe
And the bios "in my case": A6702VMS.XXXX

and a line: adsfi711.exe a6702vms.XXXX /a "and just hit enter and the flashing start"

For me this woorked just fine!

until the day the floppy messes up

ram drive method takes a few seconds more

but its worth it

a few weeks a go i was coping the 2 files to the ram drive

the flash utility one copied ok the main bios would not

if that was a flash of the floppy chances are i would have been looking for www.badflash.com
