Hi, just tested my WC for leak and its leakfree, and ived already intalled my CPU block and everythings seems to be ok. My question for now is ived uninstalled the chipset heatsink and gonna install my new MCW20-P(first time to do it)problem is there is how do I clean the chipset without damaging it, it still has a paste attached to it. THANKS :-/

Best way to remove paste is to use something like 90% ethanol to clean it off. Remember 90% ethanol is harmful, and very flammable ;).

Use isopropyl alcohol. You can find it on the same shelf as the rubbing alcohol.

Most brands of rubbing alcohol contain mineral, menthol, and eucilyptus oils that will:
A) interfere with temperature transfer
B) possibly degrade the copper surface over time
C) make any adhesive thermal pastes fail to bond well

Companies seem to put anything but peanut butter in rubbing alcohol ;}

Do I need to apply AS5 on the chipset like the CPU and how much AS5 does it need? THANKS:cool:
