Xp disc won't load.

My original copy of Windows XP Professional was scratched and I am trying to run a burned copy of it. I have an original Cd-Key and it is a backup of a program that I have sitting right here. The problem is when starting my computer with the disc in it begins to start. I get to the screen that says Press any key to boot from cd. As soon as I hit any button at all my computer restarts. Please help as I am trying to get a new com up and running by tonight.

Probably a corrupt file or two on your burned copy.

Did you burn a bootable ISO

An exact copy of the original should be just as bootable as the original.

It sounds to me like the install system is having trouble running. Try running memtest to check the RAM is OK.
