i was wondering if i should pay the extra $35 to get the xms 1gb (2x512) over the valuselect 1gb (2x512). suggestions?

well i would say yes. i bought VS a while ago and now i wish i gotten the xms, i didn't have any problem tho i just think xms would be better

It depends on how far you want to push your Athlon XP. If you want to stay at 200 FSB with 2.5-3-3 timings I would go with the Value Select. I recently got a pair and they run stable to about 215 which is fine for me cause all I wanted out of them was 200 FSB. I also got them so that when I go to A64 I can still use them since the A64's don't have much of a performance hit from running low frequency RAM.
