Hi, does anyone know what to set this to?

I've heard it's ineffective on Windows 2000 after SP1.

I have Windows 2000 SP4 so is it useless?

ALso, I have 256MB SD RAM, what would I set I/O pagelocklimit to for maximum performance?

I use PC for gaming and internet.

Thanks.

Keep it at the default size. This is one of those so called tweaks that does not result in any real world improvement.

Hi,

If I keep it at 0, Windows translates that has 512KB, apparently.

Would it work if I changed the value to 1 and trcik windows into using 1kb instead of 512?

Windows has not even looked at this registry entry since Windows 2000 SP1. So, it does nothing, just like basically every other "performance tweak" out there.
