Say I have an Athlon 64 Venice 3200+ @ 2GHz with an unlocked cpu multiplier

Please explain why the relationship between the ram and the cpu would run faster if I increased the speed of the cpu using only the unlocked cpu multiplier instead of using only the memory bus with a ram divider.

Here is another article that discusses this, however, keep in mind that what works on an A64 is not how things work on your XP.

http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Guides/athlon64oc/index.html

And if you are trying to still get info for the XP...there is no need to start a new thread for each question...you might want to just concentrate your questions in one thread in order for the posters to see the flow of questions and answers. This will eliminate duplication of information (and make it easier for you to keep up with it, as well).

Just a suggestion, that's all.
