Mobo Chipset Help - please

Alright, lets see if anyone can help me. To save time and prevent multiple posts not answering the question at hand, I'll go ahead and give you all the info I have right now.

AMD Athlon 64 3200 + Winchester - OC'd 2.20
eVGA Mainboard - 133-k8 SLI - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813188002
eVGA nVidia 7800 GT 256 PCI-E - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130238
2 x 512 Kingiston RAM - not very good RAM
the rest is kind of not needed with my problem.

Basically I'm not getting the framerates I should be - try about 80 in BF2 with all settings medium, no dynamic lights/shadows or AA. Also i get about 60 in CS:S which is just ridiculous.

The problem I believe stems from not having the chipset drivers. I have no idea how I check chipset drivers.. Here's the kicker. http://www.evga.com/support/drivers/default.asp?switch=2

Thats the driver - when I install it it asks me for the path to the "Install Disk 2" - which I don't have... I can't seem to find a help place on EVGA's site - therefore I have come here :)

Is there another driver I need? Is it possible that this is not my problem at all? Also is there a link I could get to a simple-to-read config for the 7800 GT to make it run faster (ex: vsync AA settings etc)?

I believe its the chipset - i've been getting very unstable - crashing when loading into game, etc etc.

Suggestions? Help? Anyone else had these problems?

If everythings running the way it supose to be - then I'm greatly disapointed in EVGA and/or nvidia. but I'm sure I screwed something up.

BTW here's what came stock for the 7800's GT settings:

445/1.07

Also - in your bios what is PCIE Clock frequency... mines set to 100 mhz right now ...

Thanks for any help you can provide - little disapointed right now :|

just go to nvidia's website and downlaod the latest drivers for platform and graphics.

also go to evga's site and get latest bios for your board and card.

are you running vsync on or off?

have you installed coolbits to unlock hidden driver features ?

alright i'm gonna try this. I'll download coolbits. Also I'm normally running with VSync off.

Anything else you can suggest?
