G.Skill 2x2Gigs of 1066 Timings

My specs are in sig, but according to CPUZ my timings are running no where close to what they are advertised at, neither are another stick of corsair XMS same size same speeds i tried in the board. they both are supposed to run @ 5 - 5 - 5 -15

im not savvy on all the freqs and HT speed and all that. its running @ 1.9ish v, which is what my mobo rates.

im not understanding the 535mhz and 3:8 ratio.

Is something running odd here?

you have to set the timings manually in the bios

will tightening those timings up to 5 5 5 15 make a good difference?

Yes tighter timings will make your machine a little bit snappier.

10-4 on that, I'll be off work here in a bit so I will punch them in bios manually. I saw where to do it just did not want to fool with it without asking.

your ram is running at 535 mhz (1070 effective).

the 3:8 ratio is the FSB (or HTT i believe for AMD) to RAM ratio. For every 3 mhz the FSB raises the RAM goes up 8 mhz.
