Hi,
My DDR2 is rated at [email protected], but as is often the case, it runs at 800MHz by default (1.8V default). Up to now, I always used to set "DRAM Frequency" manually to 1066MHz and set the voltage to 2.24V and had no problems. However, I was wondering, if it's enough to ONLY set "DRAM Frequency" WITHOUT setting the voltage? Seeing that I set the frequency to 1066MHz, will BIOS be smart enough to increase the voltage from the default 1.8V so that the memory would run at 1066MHz without problems?
I don't want to try that since I'm not sure if it's going to lead to problems, so I'm asking here first.
The board is Rampage Formula X48.
