SAMSUNG M378T5663QZ3-CF7
At least is says "Samsung" a few places on the stick:

A little less than three years ago I purchased 2 sticks of SAMSUNG M378T5663QZ3-CF7 2GB 240P PC2-6400 CL6 16C 128x8 DDR2-800 DIMM MEMORY MODULE from a vendor at a computer show. One of the stick works fine but the other consistently "locks up" my computer.

It took a while to meet up with the vendor, they travel around a lot, but I finally did last weekend. He told me that he couldn't help me and that I should call Samsung.

Okay, I checked the Samsung site and none of the memory modules match the model number above. They gave me a phone number to call to talk to a memory specialist. He said that "even though Samsung is clearly printed on the memory stick they do not make this module - it's probably an OEM"

So....I looked online at people selling this module and it supposedly has a "lifetime warranty" but who is behind the warranty?

My questions

- Does it indeed have a lifetime warranty?
- who do I contact to get a replacement for this?

Thank you,

?? Maybe solved - I also posted a similar question on Tom's Hardware and one of their folks gave me a link at Samsung that shows the product. Interestingly, I've tried searching the site a number of times, using their tools, and it never came up. Tomorrow I'll call them and see if they will resolve the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to look and try to help.
