Well, Last year I coated my PIII 800 with polyeurathane. Everything except for the core. Just incase condensation ever occured. Well needless to say it saved my but the other day!
But I noticed that when taking the pelt off and running with just a HSF or Watercooling alone. The temps are about 6 or 7c higher then they were before I coated the cpu. Is the Polyeurathane preventing some heat dissapation? I have lapped the HSF thinking it was that but it didnt help.
Has this happened to anyone else?
