Swiftech MC462 and peltiers, good idea?

IF the swiftech MC462 can cool about as good as water cooling, wouldn't it work as a good heatsink to cool a peltier for a duron or something? I don't see why it wouldn't...

I tried that with mine and my Tbird running 10.5x145 @ 2.0V generating 100W of heat. At idle, with halt-on-idle software, the temp was -3C, but under load, it climbed to 31C, only 5C better than without the 156W peltier. That extreme of a temperature swing constantly, can not be good for the CPU. Too much mechanical stress.
