Case cooling (fans)

...looking for decent case cooling fans, so i thought what better place than this to ask what you guys sugegst?


Here is the case:

CHIEFTEC Server Chasis (Aluminum Workstation Tower with Plastic Front Cover)

Here is what it has to cool:
ABIT NF7-S nForce2 SPP

AMD ATHLON XP 2500 "Barton" 333 FSB (SLK-800U+TT Smart Case Fan II)

TwinMos Winbond ch-5 PC3200 2x256

Antec TP430 PSU

Budget to work with >$100

You give no model #, but I think most if not all chieftec server cases use 80mm fans.

just put as many of these as you need.

They are cheap, adjustable, and have a pretty good capacity for cfm (as you already know if you use the one on your slk already)

These 24CFM 21dB-A Panasonic Panflo's are my choice for the Chieftech/Antec cases that use 80m/m fans...They come with bare leads so you have to tail them http://www.directron.com/80l1a.html These Vantec Stealth 80m/m fans are also a great choice for "quiet" case fans http://store.yahoo.com/directron/sf8025l.html They come with a 3 to 4 pin adapter...

I use to be getting that case that you were getting, but now I've decide to get this, comes with 5 Great Fans, External Fan Control, and Temp Monitoring LCD Screen. Looks really nice. It's also steel allowing for a more heavy case (If you go with these beast cases, heavier is better)

if you want to do some cutting you can squeeze 92's in the rear spot. the front can take a 120. may need to move the drive cage though.
