I don't think 49C for 1.5gh are that high at all. Off course, staying below 40C are recommended. BUT, how to calm down those beasts?
Look, the gold rule is, lower temps, high o/cs, but if you are running hot but flawless, wadda hell, let's burn it!
 
staying under 40c may be recommended, but it's pretty impossible at high speeds unless you have good watercooling.. i, like you, live in a hot climate, and in summer temps like that are simply impossible! i have no problems with my chip going to 49c under full load when it's hot outside. but that's just me... some people would freak if they saw temps that high. i honestly don't think 5c or 6c extra makes much of a difference to the lifespan of your processor.
