I just got a P4 1.7gig and i love it
but when i overclocked it up to 2 gig it just died
now the cpu dont want to start
i tried restarting the cmos
i tried all
i have no idea what to do
can someone help me

im updating this messege
i found out what happened the was to much voltage and burned out the cpu
well just lost about 2 thounsand dollars
its a real nice day damit

I did the same thing with my P4 1.5 I had to restart about five times before the bios would reset to default

try resetting cmos then make sure you pull the battery out of your MB let it sit for a minute or two and then try to see if that works

Well i just had an 800E go on me last weekend, not a great feeling, but you're sitting with a 1.7gig that's possibly dead....have you tried the suggestions given by Placid and Outhouse ? if you did, did you come right with your proc. ?
let us know...
regards
