My favorite is UV with reactive stuff, and maybe a gentle glow or blue or red.

My case is mostly blue, except for the phase LEDs on the back of the lightning 5870, which are red and green. It's a pretty cool combo really.

I voted red, but what ever color is your pick and you plan on using leds go to www.ledshoppe.com. They have a good selection, and at around $7 for a 100, a great price. I have made a few orders with them and have no complaints although shipping does take some time as they come from Hong Kong, but shipping is free.
With some leds and a micro controller you can set up some really nice lighting inside a case.
I had thought about making a set up that goes from blue to red (or other colors) depending on case temp.

Orange.. it's a challenge to work with which makes it fun. but i have to have everything perfect, too :p and it's not too bright.. slept with it last night actually.. with 8 case fans nonetheless

@canibalpenguin: I sure wish I'd known about that site before! thanks for the link

My absolute favorite would be orange, but it's hard to get matching colors from different manufacturers...

After that it's a toss up between Red and UV Reactive... Doing Red in my latest build since it will go well with all the Asus ROG stuff.

I like blue myself (so much for trying not to be part of the majority hehe..), though I'm really starting to think I should've chosen red LEDs for my current rig. Something just doesn't feel right having blue lights in a red corner (AMD/ATI AMD) machine..

Stealth Red...

Just built a system where I chose each component for how black and stealthy it is over performance then finished it off with dim red fans. Unplugged the white power/hdd/reset LED's out of the case for extra stealthiness. It looks very smart and black in the day with a warm red glow at night.

This thread needs more pictures! I like the blue/uv lit white case color schemes too.

Joe

I voted green. Too lazy to find the links to pics of my build. But I changed my Coolermaster HAF 932 from red to green. Logitech G19 keyboard backlit green and Razer Lachesis set to green. About half of the walls where this thing sits are green when the room is dark :)

I like orange. I have not yet made a build with orange lighting in it, however. Maybe that will be my next project...

Blue for a long time was my favorite LED color for two reasons:
1. They're brighter per watt than just about any other color (excluding white of course, but they literally didn't exist)
2. When I first got into LEDs they were stupid expensive so everyone wanted them! (back when I was modding stompboxes and everyone just haaaad to see that cool blue color looking up at em from the dark stage!)

Now, however, I'm a roadie. Therefore everything must be black, unseen, and unheard..

so i voted stealth
:sn:

Same thing. I used to love blue simply because they were hard to get cheap long ago. Now I'm tired of it. My AMD rig is all green lighted with green WC tubes and my new i7 has multi-colored fans

I voted blue, because I've always thought it just makes everything look better. I usually go for a blue/red lighting scheme, red dominated by blue though. The blue keeps it looking nice and clean, and the red gives a little "fierceness" to my case.

I would have voted green, but I just haven't seen almost any green-lit cases :l I do REALLY like the look of green-lit in general though.
