When browsing my download directories, my hard drive(s) seem to go crazy if it comes across a file (.avi) that isn't complete. It's almost like it is caching the file somewhere, and during this time I can hardly use my computer because of how much it is being used. Note that this is RAID-0 too! Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to disable it?

turn the preview thing off in XP might help you to browse taht directory.
