how to change 2 pin fan to 3 pin

This is my first step into the forum arena.

Does anyone have a link or knows how to change a 2 pin fan into a 3 pin fan; in other words add a third wire (sense signal wire). I've got a few 2 pin fans that are useless for monitoring rpms.

and to answer you question, i dont thing you can add the third wire to moniter it

On some fans you can. Look for an unused solder point next to where the 12V and ground wires come out of the hub of the fan.
