Will this EK reseroir / pump configuration work?

EK-D5 X-TOP CSQ Pump Top
EK X3 Reservoir Replacement Tube 150mm
EK X3 Resevoir Internal Tube - 40mm
EK-RES X3 Multiport TOP

The plan is to attach an Aquabus D5 pump to the pump top, screw in the reservoir, make up the multitop w/ attached innertube. The objective is to get a reservoir that can be filled at the top and with outtake at bottom. Will this work? Will the X3 reservoir fit firectly into the pump top?

Should I be looking at a different configuration?

Ohh... And are the threads timed? That is, are they made so that once you have screwed in the reservoir the multiport top is angled either parallell or 90 degrees from the backplate? Or could it end up at any arbitrary angle? I am going to use acrylic so the latter would be a problem....

Is it possible to use the top of that reservoir as an intake? Or is it just a fill port?
