I have a PC that is slow loading and scrolling till it's done loading. It is a Dual core 775 4GB of ram 64bit sata II ssd 840 windows 10 Edge. (Octane score 10899)

Other PC I'm comparing it to is real fast web browsing and scrolling also both are on the same fiber 60Mb/s connection, the PC is i5 2500k windows 7 IE 11 (Octane score 16393)

Just trying to find out what members on the form score and if you feel your web browsing is fast? I'm trying to figure out if there is something wrong with the slow PC.
The Bench test I'm using is Google Octane 2.0. it is a browser bench test. link https://developers.google.com/octane/
list your PC specs so I can see what is going on thanks.

I wouldn't put alot of stock in scores from that Google Octane 2.0. I just ran it, my system specs in sig, first I ran it in Chrome, got a score of 20867. Then I ran it again but used Firefox and got a score of 17008.

It looks like your score from firefox is close to my score and we both are close on my 2500k CPU.

23677 on Firefox v43.0.3 which I use daily with couple of add-ons
30028 on Microsoft Edge which I almost never use.
14156 on Internet Explorer11 which is my backup if firefox isn't loading pages

Edge seems to have an edge on this competition.
Using windows10
100/10 cable connection and generally I think browsing is swift.

O my god how did you score so high in edge. the PC I'm having trouble with I tested with edge and only scored 10899 I cant wait to see more. I found this test as one of suite of testing at Anandtech and I don't think it uses interment speed as a value. Your AMD CPU is clocked 5.0 this is starting to look like I need replace the old PC.

On a stock i7 2600 with 8GB ram, W7 64bit using:

Chrome (47.0.2526.106 m): 30,142
IE (11): 15,288
FF (41.02): 28,762
FF (43): 28,921
Chrome on my Galaxy S6: 6,951

It's testing 'suite' btw. Sweet is for taste. :)

LOL did it for fun, I know sweet is for taste I just did not know how to spell suite.:)

Thanks for the tests so far it's vary confusing, seems that the old PC here is not doing well and it should do better.

Don't know if network connection speed makes a difference to this benchmark, but my local connection is Gigabit. Internet speed is usually around 14-17Mb/s.

I guess my main conclusion (on my PC at least) is that Internet Explorer is absolutely awful at this benchmark. On some tests in the benchmark it scores 1/3rd of what Firefox scores in the same test.

Tech my Good PC i5 2500 scored 16939 IE 11 and yours is faster than mine a little, can you tell a difference from IE 11 and Firefox surfing?

Octane 2.0 tests javascript an object-oriented computer programming language commonly used to create interactive effects within web browsers. like this form when you click on something.

What is Ublock Origin? So far not enough results I cant tell what is going on except most people are scoring higher than me.

Popup/advert/script blocker, they MIGHT mess with benchs like these, sometimes a tad faster, sometimes a tad slower.

Don't worry overly about the scores, if you notice the sigs most of us have better setups and are overclocked :)

Further proof that this is a poor benchmark...I just ran it on my wife's rig ( exact same specs as mine) hers scored 15040 in Firefox while my rig scored 17008. The only difference between her rig and mine is the case!

Yup, pointless comparing your own scores against scores from another machine.
Not really I'm trying to find out if upgrading the CPU will help or is it windows 10 or web browsers. Bench testing is never a waste of time why don't you test in this post. My i5 2500 beat i7 2600 in IE 11 at this post and I don't know why.
