What kind of a machine would run World of Warcraft and other MMORPG's the best it can in a budget system (say 1000$).
I really want to understand this(http://windowsblog.net/2011/02/worl...-recommendations-create-custom-wow-gaming-pc/) .
Ive heard there is an intelligent “Killer NIC” which boosts network performance via a dedicated processor .I dint really understand this
What is a Sandy Bridge and can this be helpfull
SSD or HDD .Im confused (80 GB SSD or 640 GB HDD)
And for an MMORPG the important things would be The Processor and the Video Card Right

So In a 1000$ Budget for the Entire PC
I could possibly choose

Processors
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT55TFBGRBOX
Video Card
MSI R5750-MD1G Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
XFX HD-577X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
ASUS CuCore Series EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5 Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

When I choose a particular Product say ATI Radeon 5770 .What can be the possible differences in the products and why

Is what Ive chosen good should I build my World of Warcraft PC around these ?

Copying and pasting from an article is not a good thing to do. I'd suggest removing it from your post and linking to it. If you have a specific question, please ask.

I've been playing for a few years now, so I know a thing or two about the game. It is mainly restricted by the speed of the processor, so invest in a quick architecture and overclock.

Is that $1000 for the components or does that include monitor, keyboard/mouse, case, etc?

$1000 just for components will easily run most anything on full.

Here is a full build. Anything you don't need, you can take off and either save the money or apply it else where for better parts.

AMD phenom II 965 be $160

ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard $110

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL $50

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VX-2L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support $125

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible $90

Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive $45

LITE-ON 24X DVD Writer Black SATA Model iHAS-324-98B $20

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $45

ViewSonic VX2239WM Black 22" Full HD HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor W/Speakers $170

Logitech MK120 Black USB Wired Slim Desktop $22

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM $100

Creative Inspire T3130 2.1 Speakers $50

$987

For just the processor, motherboard, memory, video card, and power supply it's $580.

There are cheaper parts, though.

Stay away from NIC cards. They are snake juice. They do not improve anything significantly enough to be worth the price.

Sandy Bridge is the name of the new Intel line of processors.

ssd or hdd. I would stick with HDD. The ssd isn't going to affect game performance except how fast it starts up. SSD is solid state drive and is still expensive/drive space. Stick with a good hdd (hard drive disk) with a 7200 rpm platter speed. Don't worry about how it works, just look for 7200 rpm hdd.

Yes the processor and videocard are the more important parts where mmorpgs are concerned.

I already have the operating system and the monitor so im thinking minimum 8GB RAM so I wont have to upgrade soon.I think Ill get a better processor too

You won't need that much RAM, 4gb would do fine. You'd probably do better to upgrade your processor instead of the RAM. Alternatively, a video card upgrade might benefit other games than WoW more than a processor upgrade depending on what proc you intended to go with.

P67AUD3 Gigabyte
i7 2600K
cheapo DVD drive
Western Digital Black 1TB HD
GTX 560Ti video card or ATI 6950 video card
Corsair CX600 PSU
Antec 300 illusion case
Cooler Master Hyper 212

About $1050

I'd get a 2500k over the 2600k, seems to me that the $100 could be better spend elsewhere, like upgrading to a VX/TX PSU or geting a SSD for your OS+WoW.

Yes. But as this is overclockers.com and we advocate squeezing blood out of rocks we like the biggest rock available. It's true though. Odds are the hyperthreading is not going to be required in this scenario. How good of an SSD will $100 buy, though? Not very. And does this build NEED a VX/TX? No. Is it a better PSU? Absolutely.

People tell me this is better ?
Processor:
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3GHz

Processor Main Features:
64 bit Six-Core Processor

Memory:
8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR3 1600

1TB (1 x 1TB) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM HDD

Optical Drive 1:
24X DVD±R/±RW Dual Layer Drive
